How to deploy software and applications with WAPT?

Presentation
Figeac AERO specializes in aeronautical subcontracting. Its expertise in the industrial trades of machining, surface treatment and assembly of metallic aeronautical parts enables it to establish itself internationally in all aeronautical production basins. Figeac AERO’s large, multi-site IT infrastructure required an efficient, simple and rapid application deployment solution. It was a comparative study of different solutions that steered the IT department towards WAPT.

Figeac Aero’s infrastructure
Figeac Aero has several sites where application deployment is done by hand and is therefore very time-consuming. However, the company’s constant growth conflicts with this method. The use of a versatile solution meeting the expectations of system and network administrators quickly became necessary.

What WAPT has brought to Figeac Aero
Freedom of action: WAPT users at Figeac Aero appreciate its flexibility. The Open Source nature of the software offers a great deal of freedom to code, test and deploy complex applications in-house.
Speed of execution: It was Gwendal GUILLERMOU, then in training, who was responsible for deploying the solution within Figeac Aero. Relying on the available documentation, he tested WAPT on some fifteen workstations over a two-week period, then deployed the solution across the entire park within a fortnight.
Easy to use: The use of WAPT has evolved well within Figeac Aero, with 10 people able to use it, 3 using it daily and Cédric PIMONT, IT support technician, in charge of package creation. The team is planning to use this solution on other Figeac Aero sites, particularly those abroad.
