Issues encountered
Before working with Tranquil IT, Tours Métropole Val de Loire encountered several difficulties in managing its IT infrastructure :
- Time-consuming deployment of workstations : Manual installation of software and updates without centralized management, which is very difficult, especially with remote sites.
- Lack of follow-up on updates : No effective solution to ensure correct versioning of applications.
- Limited existing solutions : The MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) tool used previously was not suited to their needs, particularly with regard to the installation of specific applications.
- Technical team challenges : time-consuming tasks related to the deployment method, the team had to constantly adapt to user demand. Depending on the workload, 1 to 2 people were dedicated to full-time workstation deployment over the course of a week.

Managing the deployment of the solution
The rollout of WAPT was gradual:
- Firstly, on the 50 test stations;
- Then, as workstations are replaced;
- Finally, across the entire existing IT infrastructure.
Currently, the version in use is2.6.0.16.
The implementation of the solution was accompanied by strong support from the WAPT community via Discord as well as the documentation, greatly simplifying installation.

Since its integration,WAPT has transformed IT management at Tours City Hall and TMVL :
