What is LUTI?<\/span><\/h2>\n

LUTI is an internal tool<\/strong> capable of creating, testing, tracking, and automatically updating WAPT packages<\/strong> for the WAPT Store.<\/p>\n

Through this article, we’re making the results publicly accessible<\/strong> via the LUTI website. You can access it free of charge<\/strong>, similar to most of our resources<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Please note, this improvement is applicable only to packages created by Tranquil IT<\/strong>. This tool is not intended for adaptation to your own use<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Origin of LUTI:<\/h3>\n

As you may know, we strive to offer the most useful, comprehensive, and secure packages possible on our WAPT Store<\/a>. It’s our policy to version and test each of these packages<\/strong>. This ensures an additional level of quality assurance<\/strong> in terms of security.<\/p>\n

Currently, there are over 6,000 packages<\/strong> available on the WAPT Store. Naturally, manually testing<\/strong> each of these packages consumes a significant amount of time<\/strong>. To address this, we developed LUTI to automate the testing process<\/strong>. This continuous integration system for WAPT packages once again ensures high-quality standards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Of course, our commitment to delivering excellence motivated us to go a step further!<\/p>\n

How LUTI Works:<\/span><\/h2>\n

Monitoring and Automatically Building Software Packages:<\/h3>\n

Through a regularly executed script, LUTI can monitor the version numbers of software<\/strong> available on the WAPT Store. As soon as a version number change is detected on the official website of the software publisher<\/strong>, LUTI will automatically trigger the rebuilding of the dedicated package<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Automatically Testing and Validating WAPT Packages:<\/h3>\n

The second task of LUTI is to test and validate<\/strong> the built packages. These packages are always tested on different machines and environments<\/strong>. Additionally, to validate a WAPT package, LUTI performs two types of tests:<\/p>\n

    Installation of the software from scratch.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  • \n

    Installation of the new version, overwriting the old version<\/strong> of the software.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    LUTI also utilizes this process to run a VirusTotal analysis<\/strong> on the files used to build and test the package. If VirusTotal detects an issue<\/strong> with the package, it is blocked<\/strong>. Only human intervention<\/strong> can assess and validate the legitimacy of the package in question.<\/p>\n

    Several factors can lead to the failure of a package build: installation issues, network unavailability, etc. In such cases, you can reinitiate the package build<\/strong> with an “Error” status.<\/p>\n

    Best Security Practices with WAPT Packages:<\/h3>\n
