At Tranquil IT, we aimed to adapt while upholding our values<\/strong>:<\/p>\n As you can see, we chose to see the glass half full! Given the urgency, we focused on working quickly and effectively! Luckily, we had our own solutions for this: WAPT<\/a> for managing IT fleets<\/strong> and Samba-AD<\/a> to secure our network access<\/strong>!<\/p>\n In no time, Simon, Jimmy, and Alexandre created WAPT packages<\/strong> for solutions that would ensure everyone’s ability to work remotely. The deployment across all teleworking computers<\/strong> went smoothly. Between our software store<\/a> and the WAPT Self Service<\/a> for users, we ensured our team would be operational from day one!<\/p>\n Everyone thus went home with either a company laptop or their own work NUC. Each received their own headset. Cindy even left with the company credit card! The file server shares are automatically<\/strong> set up when the VPN connection is established. This way Cindy is still able to take care of payroll and social affairs just as before. With our headsets, Mumbles allows us to easily communicate with our colleagues in a chat room<\/strong>, with just a click of our mouse. We can enter a chat room to discuss a topic, and then place ourselves back in our silenced chat room. This allows us to chat in a relaxed environment. We can practically have a virtual coffee break! If we want to just over hear developers banter about an implementation, we can turn off the microphone and just listen. Thankfully though, after formatting his PC, Vincent connected it to the domain<\/strong> through the VPN, which triggerd the download of the software restrictions and security rules<\/strong>. We really had some luck come our way because the technical connection took place the same morning that we were put “in” confinement. Yohann\u00e8s, Simon and Alexandre passed an hour together to reconfigure the internet traffic to the fibre<\/strong>.
